February 9, 2011 - Midwest Community Health Associates has announced that Belinda Laney has joined the Family Medicine Department as a Certified Nurse Practitioner.

Belinda Laney, CNP, began work at MCHA’s Bryan office on Feb. 3. She will provide medical care for a variety of family care needs.

Belinda comes to MCHA from the Defiance Clinic, where she worked for the past four years as a diabetic educator. She has been a nurse for 16 years, with experience in a hospital setting, home health, and public health.

She received her master's degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of South Alabama and her bachelor's degree in nursing from Bowling Green State University.

Her experience includes work at the Renal Care Group in Fort Wayne, Paulding Area Visiting Nurses and Hospice, Community Memorial Hospital in Hicksville, and Defiance Hospital.

A resident of Defiance, Belinda and her husband, Kent, have three children. Belinda Laney joins the team of six Family Medicine physicians at the Bryan Medical Center, including Diane Conrad, MD; Frank Lupis, MD; Kevin Park, MD; Stan Rowan, MD; Mike Sauber, MD; and Robert Sharrock, MD.

On Jan. 1, 2011, MCHA joined Parkview Physicians’ Group, a division of Parkview Health, with about 250 medical providers.
