Midwest Community Health Associates has announced that Misty Slater, MD, has joined the Family Medicine Department.

Dr. Slater began work at MCHA’s Bryan office at the beginning of December. She received her medical degree from the University of Toledo, and her bachelor’s degree in biology from The Defiance College. She is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.

She completed her residency at the Fort Wayne Medical Education Program in Fort Wayne, Indiana, working for Parkview, Lutheran and St. Joe hospitals.

Dr. Slater grew up in northwest Ohio, and is a graduate of Fairview High School in Defiance County. She has lived in Bryan for eight years with her husband, Jim, and four children, Breanna, 16; Katie, 9; Natalie, 7; and Daisy, 9 months.

Throughout the process of achieving her education, Dr. Slater has remained very active with family activities and raising her four daughters. Her hobbies and interests include horses; American history, especially military aircraft history; the early 20th century; German culture; languages; family history; sewing; and drawing.

Dr. Slater will join the Family Medicine Department at the Bryan Medical Center, with providers Diane Conrad, MD; Michael Sauber, MD; Stan Rowan, MD; Robert Sharrock, MD; Kevin Park, MD; Frank Lupis, MD; Belinda Laney, CNP; and Nicole Young, PA-C.

Midwest Community Health Associates is a multi-specialty medical group located in Bryan, Ohio, with additional locations in Archbold, Edgerton, Montpelier, Napoleon, Sherwood, Stryker, and Wauseon.
