Keeping the community informed and educated about health-related issues is an important part of the work of Midwest Community Health Associates. This is accomplished through community educational events, presentations, employee involvement in health and safety programs, and other special activities.

Health Fairs
MCHA works closely with area health departments, hospitals, and other organizations to provide information and services at area health fairs and similar displays, and through support of health and fitness awareness campaigns. Participation in these events will include screenings, basic health testing, and general information sharing.

Presentations
MCHA physicians and other staff members are available for public presentations about specific health-related topics . To arrange a speaker or presentation, contact the Marketing & Communications Department at 419-633-4055.

Health Organizations
MCHA medical staff participate directly in community health education and awareness programs. Examples include the Cancer Early Detection and Prevention Program, the Black Swamp Safety Council, Compassion Medical Clinic of Williams County, and many others .

Special Activities and Events
Special activities and events allow MCHA staff to have fun and promote awareness of community health issues at the same time. For example, staff members recently began a project which resulted in a public display of more than 60 pink flamingos decorated in themed costumes to promote Breast Cancer Awareness .
