Orthopedics (also sometimes spelled orthopaedics) is a branch of surgery concerned with acute, chronic, traumatic, and overuse injuries, and other disorders of the musculoskeletal ailments including arthritis, trauma, and congenital deformities using surgical and non-surgical means. Some more common procedures performed by orthopedic surgeons include knee replacements and reconstruction; shoulder repairs, carpal tunnel release, repair of bone fractures, spinal fusions, disc surgery. Our Orthopedic Department also stays involved in the care of all of our area athletes of all ages.
