Peripheral Vascular Surgery
Vascular surgery is a subspecialty of general surgery in which diseases of the arteries and veins are managed, largely via surgical intervention. Vascular surgeons are trained in the diagnosis and management of diseases affecting all parts of the vascular system except the heart and brain. Conditions treated by this department include aneurysms, ischemia, venous diseases such as deep vein thrombosis and varicose veins, lymphoedema, and medical disorders such as Raynaud's syndrome and Scleroderma.
