Gynecology, which literally means "the science of women," deals with the health of the female reproductive system, including the uterus, vagina, and ovaries. All of our gynecologists are also obstetricians (See Obstetrics). Main conditions dealt with by our gynecology department include cancer and precancerous diseases of the reproductive organs, incontinence, amenorrhea (absent menstrual periods), dysmenorrhea (painful menstrual periods), infertility, menorrhagia (heavy menstrual periods), and prolapse of pelvic organs.
