Radiology is the medical specialty directing medical imaging technologies to diagnose and sometimes treat diseases. In addition to using and reading x-rays and other radiation devices to obtain visual information, radiologists direct an array of imaging technologies such as ultrasound, Computed Tomography (CT), Mammography, Dexa scans (bone density studies) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) to diagnose or treat disease. Most facilities offer some or all of these services.

The radiology department at MCHA is staffed by seven registered technologists. In addition, a board certified radiologist is on staff every day.

Due to recent changes in the U.S. Government Health Care Reform, MCHA is required to give you options of other facilities that can provide radiological services. This does not include local hospitals.
